Liu Lei, male, 48 years old, winner of the National Science Foundation for Outstanding Young Scholars (2015), deputy director of the State Key Laboratory of Optics and Applications, researcher of Changchun Institute of Optics, Fine Mechanics and Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences; Deputy Director of the Luminescence Branch of the Chinese Physical Society, Member of the Semiconductor Physics Professional Committee of the Chinese Physical Society, and Standing Director of the Jilin Physics Society. In 2010, he was selected into the High-level Overseas Talent Program of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and was awarded as excellent in the final evaluation in 2016. In 2011, he was rated as one of the 100 high-level innovation and entrepreneurship talents in Jilin Province in 2011. In 2015, he was funded by the National Outstanding Youth Fund. In 2015, he was selected as the first level of the fifth batch of top-notch innovative talents in Jilin Province. In 2016, he was appointed as a distinguished researcher of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. In 2019, he won the first prize of Jilin Science and Technology Award (ranked 2nd).
